Allama Yasir Naqvi

Lives in Houston, Texas, with his wife, Syeda Rabab, and their two children, Faraz Naqvi and Bismah Zehra. His wife is an educator in Houston Texas. Yasir Naqvi was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, in a religious and scholarly household.Yasir Naqvi inherited both religious and educational legacies as part of his family tradition. His grandfather, Mufti Syed Anayat Ali Naqvi, was a graduate of Sultanul Madaris, and after migrating to Pakistan, he served as the official Grand Mufti of the Khairpur State.

His father, Prof. Syed Ali Raza Naqvi, was a prominent and renowned Alim-e-Deen, Khateeb-e-Ahlul Bayt, and a respected educationist in Karachi.  He served as the principal of the prestigious Government Premier College and was a member of the syndicate of NED University of Engineering and Technology. Yasir Naqvi’s father was a widely respected Khateeb across Pakistan and delivered Majalis around the world, including in the United States. 

He closely followed in his father’s footsteps and drew inspiration from him to recite Majalis.Syeda Mehar Jahan, the mother of Allama Yasir Naqvi, was also an educationist and served as a professor at Abdullah Science College in Karachi, Pakistan.Due to his family’s strong religious background, Yasir Naqvi spent his early years in the company of esteemed scholars. Alongside his father and grandfather, he had the privilege of learning from some of the most distinguished personalities, including:Allama Talib Johri,Allama Aqeel Turabi,Ayatollah Ibne Hasan Karbalai,Allama Razi Mujtahid,Allama Razi Jafar Naqvi Mujtahid and others. This spiritual and academic upbringing laid the foundation for his lifelong commitment to Islamic education and the teachings of the Ahlul Bayt (AS).

Education

Yasir Naqvi completed his high school education in Karachi, Pakistan, before traveling to Qom ,Iran, in order to pursue religious studies. He studied for several years in Qom, and later moved to Hawza-e-Zainabiya in Syria for higher religious education. At that time, Hawza-e-Zainabiya was considered to be at its peak in academic excellence.

He also studied at the Arabic language institute Ma’had al-‘Arabiyya in Damascus, Syria, where he formally learned the Arabic language in a professional and structured environment. During this period, he also drew deep spiritual inspiration from the shrine of Syeda Zainab (AS).Alongside his religious education, Yasir Naqvi pursued his academic studies and completed his Master’s degree from the University of Karachi as a private candidate.

Multilingual Orator

Yasir Naqvi delivers Majalis in three languages: Urdu, English, and Persian. 

He began his Majalis recitation career at the central Imambargah of Colonel Maqbool Hussain in Pakistan, from where the main Ashura procession of Rawalpindi city is taken out. For eight consecutive years, he addressed Majalis during the first ten days of Muharram. In addition, he delivered Majalis at several prominent Imambargahs in  and other cities.

Spreading the Message of Ahlul Bayt (as) on Social Media

He has consistently played an active role in the media as well, delivering Majalis for many years on Pakistan’s leading TV channels, Geo and ARY.

He also plays a significant role on social media. Hundreds of videos are available online in which he has delivered powerful and well-reasoned responses to the enemies of the Ahlul Bayt.

Faith and Future : Youth Program

Despite his busy Majalis schedule, he consistently uploads English lectures for the youth, especially during the month of Ramzan.

Allama Yasir Naqvi is leading the new generation with a practical message that is transforming lives — a message of hope, healing, and ma‘rifat (spiritual insight) of the Ahlul Bayt (AS). It is a message that one can live an abundant life through the intercession of the Ahlul Bayt (AS). It emphasizes that this world is for those who choose to live according to the teachings of the Qur’an and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his noble family (Ahlul Bayt, AS).

Spiritual Services in the United States and Other Countries

After migrating to the United States, he began reciting Majalis and delivering lectures across the United States, Canada, and New Zealand.

In the United States, he has offered his spiritual services at various prominent Islamic centers, including but not limited to:SABA Islamic Center in San Jose,Al-Khoei Center in New York, Dar-e-Abbas and Jafaria Center in Atlanta,Idara-e-Jaferia in Maryland,Mohammadiyah Center in Virginia,IEC Hussaini in Chicago,Al-Ghadeer Education Foundation ,Ali Center and Al-Murtaza Center in Houston,Shah-e-Najaf Center in Brentwood,Baitul Qayem and Dar-e-Hussain in New Jersey,Momin Center and Dar-e-Hussain in Dallas,Jafaria Center and Dar-e-Hussain in Florida,Zainabia Center in Indiana,Zainabia Center in San Antonio.In Canada, he has delivered lectures at:Hussainiya Passmore and Dua Center in Toronto.Babul Hawaij Center in Calgary

In New Zealand, he has delivered lectures in English, Urdu, and Persian at:Ahlulbayt Foundation of New Zealand.He continues to serve various other central Islamic institutions throughout North America and around the world

Leading spiritual journeys (ziyarat Groups)

He often leads  Ziyarat groups from the U.S., sharing both knowledge and spiritual reflections at the holy shrines. He connects with Momineen from all kinds of backgrounds and languages. A big part of these trips is offering guidance to the youth and encouraging meaningful conversations and discussions among everyone taking part.

Marriage Counseling

He Provides marriage counseling for singles to help them live their lives according to the teachings of the Ahlul Bayt (AS). Also Helping couples strengthen their bond with guidance from islamic teachings and an open conversation.

Aqd e Nikah ( Marriage ceremony)

Allama Yasir  Naqvi offers services for the recitation of Aqd-e-Nikah (Marriage Sermon) and provides a religious marriage certificate.
