Lives in Houston, Texas, with his wife, Syeda Rabab, and their two children, Faraz Naqvi and Bismah Zehra. His wife is an educator in Houston Texas. Yasir Naqvi was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, in a religious and scholarly household.

Yasir Naqvi inherited both religious and educational legacies as part of his family tradition. His grandfather, Mufti Syed Anayat Ali Naqvi, was a graduate of Sultanul Madaris, and after migrating to Pakistan, he served as the official Grand Mufti of the Khairpur State.

His father, Prof. Syed Ali Raza Naqvi, was a prominent and renowned Alim-e-Deen, Khateeb-e-Ahlul Bayt, and a respected educationist in Karachi.  He served as the principal of the prestigious Government Premier College and was a member of the syndicate of NED University of Engineering and Technology. Yasir Naqvi’s father was a widely respected Khateeb across Pakistan and delivered Majalis around the world, including in the United States.
